Types of Protectors Available
A Fall Prevention system will prevent a worker from sustaining serious injury upon falling from a height. In most situations, a harness with a lanyard (maximum length 2m.) is used to prevent a fall.
A personal fall arrest system is a passive system which comes into service only when a fall occurs. This system must include three basic components: a harness, a fall arrester / energy absorber and an anchorage connector. The fall arrester / energy absorber is designed to limit the maximum arrest force to less than 6kN in order to minimize the risk of injuries.
Accessories
It is essential that all webbing is maintained and stored in the correct manner. For difficult site situations, Anderco offer a range of protective bags and cases for safely storing fall arrest products.
Care & Maintenance
Fall-Arrest products are subject to a minimum 12 monthly inspection. However, it is recommended that an inspection regime is introduced that ensures any wear and tear or damage is identified prior to use.
Corporate Identification
For companies who wish to identify that their workforce are wearing the recommended harness, or to emphasise a corporate colour scheme, a selection of harness webbing colours, as well as a corporate logo, on a harness order of 50 units or more, is available.
